Family Planning & Sexual Health
Our doctors and nurses provide a full range of contraceptive services, including coil fitting.
Cervical Smear Tests
The Health Authority runs a recall system and our nurses do most of the routine smears.
Maternity Care
Our Doctors offer pre-conception counselling, ante-natal care and post-natal care, shared with local midwives.
Child Health
The health visitors offer practical support where needed for families with children. Child health clinics are carried out on Thursday mornings. The health visitors and the community paediatrician will run this clinic in conjunction with us.
Please advise the receptionist when you book your appointment.
Immunisations
Routine children’s immunisations are done in our Thursday morning well baby clinics and routine adult immunisations are by appointment with our nurses.
Tests
Blood tests and ECGs are done within the surgery or at City Hospital.
Diabetic Clinic (Mon 9am – 12pm)
The practice runs a regular diabetic clinic to give organised routine check-ups for diabetics.
Asthma/COPD Monitoring
Our nurses offer check-ups for asthmatic patients and patients with COPD and help with inhaled treatments.
Minor Surgery
We offer Minor Surgery, dealing with some small “lumps and bumps” under local anaesthetic. Please see a GP to arrange this.
Coronary Heart Disease Clinic
The practice runs a regular clinic to give organised routine check ups for people with coronary heart disease.
Well Person Clinic
Hypertension Clinic (Thur 1.30pm – 3.30pm)
Smoking Cessation
Smokers are encouraged to contact the local smoking cessation centres, via the reception.
Seeing a Community Nurse
The community nurses offer nursing care to the housebound in their homes.
Seeing a Health Visitor
Health visitors run a clinic on Thursday mornings between 9:30 till 11:00.
Seeing a Physiotherapist
Your GP may refer you to the physiotherapist at Landsdowne Health Centre.
